Polypipe Civils go ‘cuckoo’ for charity comedy night
Polypipe Civils, the UK’s leading manufacturer of surface water drainage, sewerage, cable protection and water management solutions, is teaming up Constructing Better Health to host a one-off charity comedy night to raise awareness for the Karen Clifford Skin Cancer Charity, SKCIN.
The exclusive event takes place at London’s prestigious Cuckoo Club on February 16 and will see guests treated to an evening of puns and pints courtesy of some of the most prolific comedians the UK has to offer, including BAFTA Award winner Trevor Locke, ‘Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow’ star Hal Cruttenden, and rising newcomer Fredrik Andersson, who has won critical acclaim for his Edinburgh and Leicester Comedy Festival appearances.
A charity auction will also be held on the night by guest auctioneer, Bob Slayer, otherwise known as the ‘wild child’ of the British comedy circuit.
Richard Clifford at SKCIN comments: “We’ve been delighted with the response so far to our on-going skin cancer awareness campaign and we’re optimistic that our comedy night will be just as successful as our previous events.
“The Cuckoo Club is a fantastic venue and we’re sure that those who attend will have a night to remember.”
The charity comedy night follows on from SKCIN’s highly successful charity golf day, which took place in September, raising nearly £3,000 for the charity.
Rachel Smith, Head of Marketing at Polypipe Civils comments: “With so many construction workers at risk from skin cancer each year, our partnership with Constructing Better Health and SKCIN is a natural fit for us as a company.
“We’re delighted to be supporting SKCIN’s campaign for skin cancer awareness and we’re looking forward to raising more funds at the comedy night for this good cause.”
Tickets for the charity comedy night are still available priced at £85.00 per head or £750.00 for a table of ten. The price includes a three-course meal and doors open at 7pm. More information is available here.
