Blue-Green Roofs - Technical Information
                            Dual purpose enhancement
Our system has a geotechnical cell at its heart, allowing us to store water for irrigation and attenuate and discharge water at a known flow rate for particular storm events.

Build-up over roof types
There are three main forms of roof construction used in the UK for areas where source control is installed.

Cold roof
For this roof type, a protective geotextile layer is laid over the roof waterproofing layer and the build-up is then installed over this protective layer.

Warm roof
For this roof type, a protective geotextile layer is laid over the insulation and waterproof layer. The build-up is then installed over the protective layer.

Inverted roof
For this roof type, a supplementary waterproofing layer is installed over the roof insulation to provide further water tightness. The build-up is then installed onto the waterproofing layer.
