Acquisition of Permavoid enhances WMS and Green Infrastructure proposition

Polypipe, the leading manufacturer of plastic piping and ventilation systems for the residential, commercial, civils and infrastructure sectors, today announces the acquisition of Permavoid Limited.

Permavoid is a specialist designer and supplier of surface water management solutions in commercial, residential, and sports pitch applications.

Key applications for the Permavoid range of products include sustainable urban drainage systems, Green Infrastructure, Blue-Green roofs, podium decks and sports surface applications, enhancing Polypipe’s existing water management solutions (WMS) product ranges.

Polypipe has been the sole licensee of Permavoid products in the UK since 2013, and has installed the system in a range of high-profile projects for the purpose of managing surface water, from the residential redevelopment of Walthamstow Stadium in London, to the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People in Edinburgh.

Permavoid’s products are uniquely placed to deal with urban water and climate management challenges which are increasing due to the impacts of climate change and urbanisation. The acquisition demonstrates Polypipe’s commitment to improve the diversity and capability of its existing range of surface water management solutions and to cement its position as the UK’s market leader in innovative drainage
