Polypipe Middle East family in action at corporate team building day

Wednesday 22nd February 2017

Situated in a beautiful spot of paradise, away from the hustle and bustle of Dubai, the Polypipe Middle East and India team stepped away from their usual duties and spent an action-packed day in February 2017 in the Northern Emirates for what is now seen as the annual corporate team building day.

Attended by over 60 Polypipe staff with diverse nationalities and backgrounds from across the world, the corporate programme was tailored with activities to accommodate our large group. Designed to enhance initiative and interaction with one another, whilst aiming to bring out the very best in individuals as we learnt about the benefits of working together, activities included ascending the highest climbing wall in the U.A.E, raft building, the Jacobs Ladder challenge and human Fuse Ball.

Niall Nugent, Adventure Activities Senior Instructor, Umm Al Quwain Marine Club said of the event "The Polypipe team once again proved to absolutely fantastic to work with, responding to challenges with determination and due consideration to the business objective embedded in each event. The bond between the mixed group of individuals showed what can be achieved when working as a team, highly effective in the work place to overcome everyday challenging situations”.

The day predominantly focused on team communication, leadership skills and collaboration, as well as self-awareness and achievement. All skills gained were transferable to our business environment.

“With a multi-cultural team of more than 12 nationalities, it remains important to us to continue to develop the 'Polypipe-family' that we believe is an important key to create success for our business. Getting to know one another better and witness first-hand new experiences and achievements proved incredibly powerful and motivational for all. We truly have a winning team that we are immensely proud of”, says Robin Appleby, Managing Director, Polypipe Middle East. “Our thanks extend to Niall and his awesome team for an amazing day”.
