Polypipe backs British Champion Looking to Make Big Waves

Thursday 7th July 2016

Polypipe has pledged support to British Jet Ski Champion and local Doncaster lad, Brad Rickaby, who is on the cusp of major racing achievements across Europe in 2016.

Polypipe is sponsoring Brad as he looks to win the European Jet Ski Championships. He is currently being backed by the Hungarian Kasza Racing jet ski team, and Polypipe is supporting the 23-year-old Hatfield racer as he flies the flag for Great Britain, on his 500 horsepower jet ski, in a series of races across Europe. Brad’s season is set to culminate with the British Championships, and a return to Doncaster Lakeside on the first weekend of September.

Polypipe has a long history of supporting local sports stars and clubs, including Doncaster RLFC and Doncaster Rovers, and is proud to be backing another home-grown hero who is climbing to the top of a fast growing sport.

Brad is currently the back to back Pro British Jet Ski racing champion. He is a seven-time British Champion, European Cup Champion and has also held the World Champion crown in an explosive career.

Brad Rickaby comments: “2016 is a make or break year for me as I want to go fully professional and earn the opportunity to compete across the world, in events in Dubai and the United States. Having the support of a large local company such as Polypipe is a great boost for me and will help me to achieve my goals. I’m delighted that they are on board.”

Rachel Smith, Marketing Communications Manager at Polypipe Building Products, adds: “We love a local hero at Polypipe, and what Brad has already achieved puts him in that bracket. We hope our support can assist Brad as he looks to get to the next level of his sport, and go fully professional. We are excited to be able to cheer him on in his hometown competition at Doncaster Lakeside. We are so pleased to be involved and look forward to sharing in his successes this year and beyond.”
