Making waves at the 19th Annual Polypipe Regatta

Monday 23rd October 2017

Anchors away! The Annual Polypipe Regatta set sail in Portsmouth on 20 September 2017, marking its 19th year.

Raising over £10k for charity partners, the Polypipe Regatta was another roaring success that saw Polypipe partners, merchants and customers come together for a friendly yacht race around Port Solent.

This year’s event saw over 50 boats set sail to raise vital funds for worthwhile causes including new charity partner, Help for Heroes. Congratulations were in order for this year’s race winner Upson Consultancy. The team, including Steve Upson, who has been closely associated with the Polypipe Regatta for many years, saw off competition from second placed boat Elliott Brothers Ltd and HPS 1.

Rachel Smith, Head of Marketing at Polypipe says, “From all of us here at Polypipe, thank you all for coming and for making the Annual Polypipe Regatta such a huge success. This is our opportunity to really give something back to worthwhile causes close to Polypipe through our continued support of the John Merricks Sailing Trust, and of course with our new charity partner, Help for Heroes. We look forward to seeing you all next year for the Regatta’s 20th year!”
