International Women in Engineering day 2022

Thursday 23rd June 2022

On International Women in Engineering Day, Genuit Group are celebrating the fantastic women working to deliver engineering solutions for our customers.

We heard from a few of our engineers across the group*:

Christine R, Engineer - Polypipe Civils and Green Urbanisation

I've always aspired to have a challenging and interesting career, so after studying engineering in secondary school I knew it was the right direction for me. I recently completed a HND in Electrical and Electronics and will be continuing to study a bachelor's degree in the subject.

Natasha S, Advantage Designer - Polypipe Building Services

Being an engineer is what I was destined to do. I have always enjoyed solving problems and as an engineer I get to solve them on a much larger scale. Seeing my designs in real life is great - however, it means I can't go anywhere without pointing out drainage systems!

Lavinia S, Degree Design Apprentice - Polypipe Building Products

My first role was a toolmaker apprentice, however I have now migrated towards the design side and work within the drawing office. I recently completed my first year of a degree course at the AMRC training centre, specialising in manufacturing technology.
