    • To understand the opportunities for integrated source control SuDS and green infrastructure
    • Designing with Smart technologies and passive irrigation to ensure long term resilience
    • Understand the challenges and opportunities of retrofit and new blue-green roof projects and the use of substrates
    • To also come away with a more holistic overview of how Permavoid and Polystorm can be utilised for SuDS enabled tree pits, raingardens and optimised SuDS features and how these assets can all be connected 

     

  • Blue-Green Roof Tour

    This session will include a tour of one of Polypipe’s research smart blue-green roofs which was completed in the summer of 2021. Sited on Bloc – a workspace in the heart of Manchester city centre that has been transformed by Bruntwood Works as part of its £50m Pioneer redevelopment programme – the smart blue-green roof has been delivered to develop a greater understanding of how new construction and data technologies can help cities and urban developments to mitigate the impact of climate change and population growth, while enhancing biodiversity.
