Can pre-insulated pipe be used for hot and cold water supply?

Pre-insulated pipe should only be used for the flow and return of hot water from an external boiler house.

Do you do a water supply pipe that’s suitable to use in contaminated land?

Our Polyguard range is suitable for the distribution of potable water in contaminated land. It is an MDPE water supply pipe with an aluminium barrier layer to prevent the water picking up any contamination.

Do Polyguard products require inserts?

All Polyguard fittings come with inserts already built-in: there is no requirement for additional inserts.

Can MDPE water service pipe be used for hot water?

MDPE water service pipe is only suitable for use with cold water.

Can MDPE water service pipe be used above ground?

We manufacture MDPE water service pipe in two colours. Black MDPE water service pipe is suitable for use above ground; blue MDPE water service pipe is not UV-stable and should only be used underground.

What pressure will normal water service pipe take?

Polypipe’s standard PE80 MDPE is rated to handle water at 12 bar.
