The 20th anniversary Polypipe regatta took place last week at Port Solent, in Portsmouth, to raise funds for Help for Heroes and the John Merricks Sailing Trust.

There were around 50 boats on the water filled with customers, merchants and staff from Polypipe Building Products, Polypipe Terrain & Polypipe Civils. The morning brought some fantastic weather but due to the lack of wind, the mornings race took much longer than expected meaning the course had to be cut short and the afternoons race had to be called off, but it was still an enjoyable day on the water.
Setting sail for the start line
Luke Sinnott spoke at the event, telling us his story about how Help for Heroes have always been there to support him. Luke is an Ambassador for Help for Heroes, representing them at charitable and fundraising events and promoting the fantastic work they do. Luke has received a wide range of support from Help for Heroes, most notably through their sports recovery programmes. Here he is with Hero Bear talking to the room.

The Regatta was a great success and a perfect opportunity to network with customers, merchants and the teams from Help for Heroes and the John Merricks Sailing Trust.
