Today is officially International Women’s Day 2023, a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women.
The theme for 2023 is #EmbraceEquity with the aim to get the world talking about why equal opportunities aren’t enough.

Equity recognises that every person has different circumstances and ensures that they have the exact resources and opportunities needed to reach an equal outcome. Whereas equality provides everyone with the same resources and opportunities, regardless of their individual needs.
At Polypipe Building Products, we recognise that we are a workforce made up of diverse individuals who need different tools and resources to achieve their full potential. Which is why we are #EmbracingEquity, not just for International Women’s Day, but as part of our wider Diversity and Inclusion plans for our business and throughout the Genuit Group.

In September 2022, the Group Executive Team agreed on the Group’s Diversity and Inclusion plan following workshops including a variety of people from across the Genuit Group business units.
Kicking off the roll out on International Women’s Day is only the start of a year full of events throughout Genuit Group to make sure that it becomes part of the DNA of our culture and behaviours at work and beyond.
