Head of Specification named new Chairperson of The Housing Forum’s Futures Network

Wednesday 6th March 2024

Hayley Hayes, Head of Specification at Polypipe Building Products, has been appointed as the Chairperson of The Housing Forum’s Futures Network.

The Housing Forum Futures Network is a development programme for high-potential housing sector professionals, set up for cohorts of prospective future leaders from member organisations, who are at a promising stage of their development.

Having previously been part of the 2022-23 cohort of the Futures Network, Hayley is now taking the reigns as the Chairperson for the 2023-24 cohort, which will see a new group of industry professionals collaborate and receive mentorship from some of the industry’s most key and influential individuals.

Of her new role as Chairperson, Hayley said:

“This role as Chair is a huge privilege as it enables me to continue my involvement with The Housing Forum and supporting the Futures Network with their activities and projects. The role will also allow me to sit on The Housing Forum board and act as the link between them and the Futures Network.

My experience with the Futures Network has not only allowed me to strengthen and extend my network, but it has also widened my knowledge of the housing industry. During my time with the Futures Network, I was involved in the creation of the ‘Route Map for New Homes’ launched in July 2023, which is something that I feel underpins my appetite for success within the sector.

I very much look forward to seeing what this year’s cohorts achieve and being able to play a part in the work that they achieve.”

Hayley joined Polypipe Building Products in 2019 as the company’s drainage specialist, having previously worked for Polypipe Building Services since 2007.  In 2020, she became Polypipe Building Products’ Commercial Manager, managing the specification side of the business until her promotion to Head of Specification in January 2024. This new role comes as the business has restructured its sales and commercial team to have a specification team and a trade team, working in partnership to achieve the company’s strategic objectives.
