BPEC accredited training from Polypipe

Wednesday 12th September 2018

In recent months, we have seen a steady rise in the number of enquiries about our Registered Heating Engineer Network (RHEN) across our social media accounts. The RHEN is free to join (although some criteria apply, such as being on the Gas Safe Register) and has a whole host of features designed to help enhance your skills and drive your business forward. All in all, the benefits are worth over £1500!

The Benefits

  • Promotional Activity: We will always promote the skilled professionals on the RHEN to our homeowner audience.
  • Marketing Support: Your marketing toolkit will give you everything you need to grow your business.
  • Design Support: Our in-house team of design engineers help with all the required calculations and specifications, so you can get on with the job.
  • Online Estimating Tool: Available online or in app form, the tool allows you to provide your customers with estimates quickly and easily.
  • Technical Support: You will be assigned your own dedicated Polypipe Area Heating manager who will work with you to make sure your jobs run as smoothly as possible.
  • Training: You’ll receive full BPEC accreditation through one of our dedicated training facilities.

BPEC Accreditation

The theory element of the course which you will undertake, in ‘Warm Water Underfloor Heating Systems’, has been developed by BPEC and the Underfloor Heating Manufacturers’ Association (UHMA). The practical element has been designed by Polypipe. In all, the two days have been designed to demonste competence, and give you the skills and knowledge required to correctly design and install a warm water UFH system.

Past Cohorts

A variety of people have undergone the RHEN training, not just Heating Engineers. Recently we saw an intake of lecturers from Eastleigh College complete the course. Due to a steady upturn in demand for underfloor heating (UFH), a module has been added to the plumbing syllabus which concentrates on UFH and the lecturers underwent our training to make sure they were suitably qualified and knowledgeable to be able to deliver the module.

Our Polypipe UFH Specialist Stockists also contain members of staff who have undergone the training. These ‘branch champions’, can not only answer your queries about installation, but offer ongoing advice, along with priority manufacturer approval on your installation plans and heating needs.

We also had our first all-female cohort complete the training earlier this year. The ladies from female plumbing company Stopcocks completed the training to add underfloor heating installation to their repertoire.

Founder Hattie Hasan said:

"Some of our plumbers have completed this training and really enjoyed it. They're delighted at its excellence and thoroughness. #recommended."

The high level of training and support you will receive will help you achieve the best outcome for you and your customers – enhancing your skills and taking your business forward.
