Automation Engineer Glen Johnson graduates with a BEng in Electrical Engineering

Polypipe Building Products Automation Engineer Glen Johnson has recently graduated with a BEng in Electrical Engineering from Sheffield Hallam University.
Glen, based at our Neale Road manufacturing site in Doncaster, joined Polypipe Building Products in March 2021 having already embarked on his learning journey prior to joining.
Divisional Engineering Manager Darren Fox said,
"We were able to support his progress through his final year to completion by shuffling shift patterns etc. so that he could attend classes.
"Fundamentally it was self-funded and completed in his own time. We all know how difficult it is to juggle full time work and home life, so when you throw in studying for an engineering degree in your spare time, it makes the achievement all the more praiseworthy"
Glen said of his journey,
"Polypipe has played a pivotal role in the achievement of my degree. The Genuit Group outlook on both personal and professional development has helped me to integrate my learning to the workplace and I cannot wait to see where the future will take me within Polypipe Building Products.
"Both Leon Stoppard and Darren Fox were there to provide any support I needed and steer me in the right direction whenever I needed it and were always approachale.
