20th Anniversary Polypipe Regatta

Friday 1st June 2018

We are so excited for this to be the 20th anniversary Polypipe Regatta in the same year that our charity partner Help for Heroes celebrate their 10th anniversary!

This year's regatta will certainly be a day to remember!

Our annual yacht race returns to Port Solent in Portsmouth on Thursday September 6th. The aim of this event is to bring together the building, construction and plumbing sectors to take part in some friendly competition and raise money for charity.

The Regatta will see around 50 vessels set sail to compete and raise money for Polypipe Building Products' charity partner, Help for Heroes, which is celebrating it's 10th anniversary in 2018.

The event opens with a birthday celebration on the evening of Wednesday September 5, giving attendees the chance to enjoy live music, street food, guest speakers, complimentary birthday cake and a welcome drink.

Cameron McLellan, MD of Polypipe Building Products, said:

Over the last two decades, the Polypipe Regatta has developed into a hugely popular event that never dissappoints. It is the perfect chance for guests to get together, compete, and enjoy the festivities."

The race will be followed by a prize-giving ceremony and charity raffle.

A choice of yachts are available, with most competitors opting for a 40ft cruiser-racer, seating up to ten of your own crew plus the skipper and mate, priced at £1510 per yacht. Seamen looking for something a bit special can book a classic or historic yacht, including Sir Francis Chichester's legendary Gipsy Moth IV. Each package includes places on a yacht, a skipper, breakfast, afternoon tea, waterproofs and regatta entry.
