As part of our overall commitment to sustainability, we have well defined policies on energy use and management. These include balancing our business performance and operating results with a reduction in energy consumption at every stage of the manufacturing process. One of the ways we do that is by making sure every Polypipe WMS employee understands the importance of energy efficiency and encouraging their participation and ideas on achieving it.

• Research into technical solutions for reducing energy consumption
• Monitoring systems to measure and target areas of inefficiency and promote areas of good operating practice
• Employee education training to raise their awareness of energy waste and conservation
• Implementing processes to maximise energy conservation during maintenance, modification and building construction
• Progressive increase in the use of alternative and renewable sources of energy
• Maximising low energy lighting, heating and production methods to reduce waste
• Operating all manufacturing equipment, heating, lighting and air conditioning at optimal efficiency
• Implementing purchasing procedures that include providers’ energy consumption and efficiency performance as an integral part of the procurement process
