Permafilter Geotextile

Permafilter is a non-woven, needle-punched geotextile mat that retains oil and fuel deposits while allowing clean water to pass through its three layer structure. These entrapped hydrocarbons are then bio degraded by naturally occurring micro-organisms in a self-sustaining, environmentally friendly water treatment mechanism. It can be used in a variety of applications at all points in the SUDS roof to river process: Under permeable pavements, as a barrier layer to arrest pollution during soakaway; under impermeable pavements, to prevent fuel and oil contamination through cracks and joints; as an attenuation tank lining; in car park podium decks; or as an element in swales, verges and other soft SUDS facilities. With legislation such as the EU Water Framework Directive and the Groundwater Regulations demanding stricter control of pollution at source, Permafilter Geotextile offers practical and highly effective compliance.
Key Benefits
Environmentally friendly - Breaks down oil through natural aerobic digestion.
Efficient - Maximum oil filtration load of 6 litres per 10m² of geotextile.
Self sustaining - Supports micro-organisms and improves in performance over time.
Quick and easy to install - Less labour and time onsite.
