The marketing department does not only make sure that the industry is aware of the Polypipe WMS products, but is also keen to disseminate as much information as possible about the legislation that surrounds SUDS. Constantly updating our knowledge is key to ensuring that our customers are fully informed.
Rachel Smith
Job Title: Marketing Manager
Currently responsible for: The successful promotion of Polypipe Water Management Solutions, both its systems and services through all communications channels including new media, PR and advertising. Member of the Underground Drainage Panel at the British Plastics Federation.
Previous Roles: Communications Manager for Saint-Gobain Pipelines, Product Manager, SGPL
Examples of recent achievements: Providing independant, automotive advice and guidance on SUDS legislation to Consulting Engineers, Contractors and Local Authorities through our SUDS: Planning for change seminars. Successful launch of new products to the market which help our customers meet legislative requirements such as the new Storm-X4 surface water treatment filter.
Qualifications: 1st class honours Degree in International Business and Finance from the Open University.
Hobbies: Going to the gym (I do occasionally do more than just relaxing in the Jacuzzi!), cooking for my friends and walking my dog Jimi.
I am most proud of: My wonderful daughter, who loves shoes and handbags, definitely a chip off the old block!
Emma Thompson
Job Title: Marketing Executive
Currently responsible for: Providing support to the Marketing Manager in producing marketing campaigns, brochures and presentations and act as a link between the sales force and the marketing department. I also manage the PR, Exhibitions, Conferences and Seminars for Polypipe Water Management Solutions.
Previous Roles: Events Marketing Specialist, Finning UK Ltd (Dealer for Caterpillar) Internal Communications Specialist, Finning UK Ltd Marketing Assistant, Electrolube (A division of HK Wentworth).
Qualifications: First Class BA Hons Degree Marketing.
Hobbies: Walking, Badminton, Dog Training, Films, Flower Arranging.
I am most proud of: Achieving a First grade for my degree.
Kevin McDonnell
Job Title: Product Analyst
Currently responsible for: Market research for potential new channels and opportunities.
Previous Roles: Product Manager, FPS, RS Components.

Qualifications: HNC Business & Finance.
Hobbies: Coarse fishing, football, reading.
