The Polypipe floor panel system is ideal on smaller room projects that require a higher density of pipe. Floor and edge insulation is to be installed to current building regulations. The panels are then laid onto the insulation, overlapping the edges of the panels so all the panels are joined. The panels allow the pipe to be accurately installed and hold the pipe against movement when screeding. The pipe is then simply walked in to the panel at the desired centres and pipe layout and is held in place by the castellations. The floor panel holds the pipe above the insulation allowing full screed surround. Optimum screed depth is 75mm from panel base, i.e. 50mm from the pipe top. The system should then be pressure tested with water to check the system integrity prior to screeding.
