Solid Floor - Clip Rail System

The rail system is an alternative to the panel system and is ideally used on larger areas as a more cost effective solution. Floor and edge insulation is to be installed to current building regulations. The insulation should then be covered with a moisture barrier, the rails are then fixed to the insulation by fixing clips. The rails are fitted at 1m centres but additional support on the pipe will be required by clips at the bend radius and between rails. This prevents the pipe moving during the screed process. Once the pipe is fi tted at the desired centers and pipe layout, and each loop is connected back to the manifold, the system can then be pressure tested with water to check the system integrity prior to screeding.
