The clip system allows for a quick and easy installation of the underfloor heating pipework and is the most cost effective installation method on a solid floor. Floor and edge insulation is to be installed to current building regulations. The insulation should then be covered with a moisture barrier. There are two methods of securing the pipework to the insulation, option A is to use the anchor clips (part no FH.C.3) inserting them into the insulation by using the ratchet tool (part no FH.RT.1) the pipe is then simply clipped in. (18mm pipe only) Or option B is to use the staples (part code FH.C.4/5 which are inserted over the 15mm or 18mm pipe using the Polypipe Stapler Tool (part code FH.ST.1). Using either of these two methods the pipe should be installed to the desired centers and pipe layout. Each loop is then connected back to the manifold and the system is then pressure tested with water to check the system integrity prior to screeding.
