Polypipe digs deep for national children’s charity

Polypipe has raised £2,462 for children’s charity, Children Today, after staff from its Loughborough and Horncastle offices successfully completed a series of fundraising events.

Activities included a dress down day, cake and book sale, a raffle and sponsored bike ride from South Birmingham to Warwickshire as part of the inaugural Police Credit Union Charity Bike Ride event last month.

Following completion of the bike ride alongside colleagues John Moss and Steve Kite, Glen Sabin, Managing Director of Polypipe, said: “We are thrilled with the huge amount of support we received during our bike ride, and the further funds raised as part of Polypipe’s wider charitable efforts.

“The money raised through these activities will go a long way in changing the lives of disabled children across the UK and I’m very proud of everybody involved.”

Children Today provides specialised equipment to improve, assist and enhance the lives of children and young people with disabilities in the UK. Whether it is a walking frame to enable them to take their first steps, or a powered wheelchair enabling them to join their family on walks, these aids can literally change their life overnight.

Emma Fawcett, Regional Fundraising Manager for Children Today, added: "We would like to thank everyone at Polypipe for their fantastic fundraising efforts. The money raised will help us make a very real difference to disabled children, providing vital equipment that they need."
