Polypipe Civils Rides to Raise Money for BHF
Employees at Polypipe Civils will be dusting off their bikes and donning their helmets later this year, as they prepare to take part in the British Heart Foundations London to Brighton bike ride.
The six-strong team from Polypipes Loughborough and Horncastle offices will set off from Clapham Common in South London on the 19th June and travel 54 miles to Brighton sea front with the aim of raising vital funds for the British Heart Foundation, the companys selected charity for the year.
Rachel Smith, Marketing Manager at Polypipe Civils said: The London to Brighton bike ride is a great initiative for Polypipe to get involved in given our links with BHF through our Polypipe Run campaign, which is designed to raise awareness of heart disease within the construction industry.
We have a few keen cyclists on our staff and we were more than happy to encourage them to take part, not only because its a worthwhile cause but also because it complements our goal over the last year to encourage a healthy lifestyle among those in the construction industry.
I know the team has been in training for this since the New Year, and needless to say there is some good humoured competition among them, which is great for staff morale as well. Were all behind them, wish them all the best and heres hoping we can raise a huge amount for the BHF.
