Terrain Firetrap

As our on-going commitment to further develop the internationally renowned Terrain Drainage System, a comprehensive range of passive fire protection products has been introduced for use with Terrain soil & waste systems – both PVC & HDPE. These products will facilitate secure specification of Terrain Drainage Systems with the confidence of conforming to increasingly important local regulations designed to add to the protection of buildings and their occupants.

The Terrain Firetrap range comprises a cost effective method for fire stopping pipework penetrations, whilst maintaining similar thermal and acoustic properties as standard mineral fibre insulation. When installed will react in a fire situation, expanding to fill the available space between the pipe and the penetration, whilst also crushing and closing the plastic drainage pipe to form a solid char. This will prevent the passage of fire and smoke into the adjacent building compartment.
